Bringing the ocean onto the paintings

Bringing Elena's passion for the ocean onto the paintings.

Elena Gushchina was born in Kazakhstan, in a city with the view of the snowy peaks of the mountains and just 100 km away from Chinese border. Since childhood Elena was afraid of water, which has later on completely transformed into love and passion for diving!

Her family moved to Karelia, and 10 years later, to Finland, where Elena received a higher education and fully immersed into IT. Having achieved great success in her career Elena projected her passion into writing a book “I’m Magnet” in Russian and English languages, which reflects her main passion – awareness and natural force within us to perform conscious quantum transformations. In autumn 2019 her book will be published also in Finnish. “The water has definitely inspired me to write books, as well as to learn to feel unconditional love, which I also write about,” says Elena. She used every opportunity to be in the water and every time, while travelling, she took long beach runs at dawn. “The sea is so inspiring. It makes me want to put my emotions down on paper: in stories, poems and later – on canvas”, Elena shares.

Water attracted her since childhood, as well as painting, developing love for art, which lead to creating her own brand Lol2o (Lot’s of Love and H2O), creating more works in paintings on canvases and walls in her house. Elena’s art reflects her memories of beach runs, love for the ocean and it flows from her heart into the brushes and paints, creating one work after another in “Transformation of Water” series. After successful art show in Finland, Elena was invited to work in Maldives on Thoddoo island, where Elena had a chance to make her dream come true and overcome her fear of the open water and took her dive course.

Diving completely fulfilled Elena's life and encouraged her to start Stay & Dive club in Finland in 2017.
The goal of Elena’s club is to bring together happy divers and create awareness of the ocean and our planet and share her passion for water. Elena now writes a blog about diving travel, projects and people, who inspire her. She writes stories about divers with physical disabilities in the framework of the project Knyazev Da, or the Finnish freediving record holder Johanna Nordbland.

Elena’s amazing personality and love for the ocean and diving has drawn Finnish dive schools and together they have created the first joint Russian – Finnish dive travel community.

Having gone through all the fears herself, Elena tries to always be present during diving lessons to cheer and support the students. “We are all a big diving family. Safety, reliability and good communication is our priority! It is a great pleasure to witness people discover the underwater world and wonders of diving for the first time. It inspires me to create awareness, respect and love for the ocean in others”, says Elena.

Elena says that she already lives her dream life and that it is a real joy to be aware of yourself “here and now”, to enjoy each moment. She plans to devode herself to development of conscious diving, underwater meditations and discovering new dive destinations, creating new books and paintings.

“Water is information. Take care of it and be aware. Wonderful dives to all and the most beautiful transformations in life! ”- Elena wishes everyone and invites you to  dive in Finland with her!
